Varied Experience
I completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
I have provided personal, career and educational counselling services to a diverse population of individuals since 2006 including adolescent and adult populations in the public educational sector. I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationships, self esteem, stress management as well those interested in career exploration.
My experience also includes various research projects. At the Royal Ottawa Hospital I contributed to research in the area of sleep and attention. I have also worked within the neuroscience department at the University of Ottawa where we studied the effects of chronic mild stress on rodents as part of research in depression. In addition, I have worked at the Jewish General Hospital studying the impact of different therapeutic models on levels of depression. My research experiences have resulted in published articles in reputable psychological journals.
As the field of counselling and psychology constantly changes and evolves it is important that I take part in continuing education initiatives in order to further my knowledge in the field. This includes conferences, workshops and specialized training that I attend on an ongoing basis.
